אַלְוִוין, (עַלְוִיִּים, עַלְוָאִין) m. pl. (v. אַלְוָא) the herbaceous plant aloe, a kind of cress. Y. Shebi. IV, 35ᵇ bot.; Tosef. ib. I, end (ed. Zuck. עלוא׳, oth. ed. עלויין, עלווין) ומקיימין את הא׳ וכ׳ you may (in the Sabbath year) let the aloe grow on the top of the roof, but you must not water it.
