אוֹדֶם m. (אדם) red substance, fleshy substance [cmp. אֲדָמָה, אָדָם; b. h. אֹדֶם rubin]. Y. Kil. VIII, 31ᶜ bot. הא׳ מן האשה from the mother the embryo receives the substance for forming skin, flesh, and blood; opp. לוֹבֶן white, sticky substance. Nidd. 32ᵇ למעוטי איש מא׳ to exempt man from being unclean from a red (blood) discharge, opp. to לובן white gonorrhoeic discharge.
