אוּץ (b. h.; √או , v. אוי I; cmp. אָפַץ; v. חוּץ a. חָצָה) to be pressed (to press, hurry).—Part. אוֹצֶה, pl. אוֹצִין (as from אצה, v. חוּץ, חוּל) squeezed in. Tosef. Kel. B. Mets. IX, 5 א׳ חבור (Var. הוצין) when they are squeezed in (tight), they are considered as connected for levitical purposes.
