(Ar. אוריא) why is it called Urya? אויר יה (Var. אור) divine air (divine light = Palestine). Kidd. 12ᵇ איכא סהדי באוריא הא Ar. (ed. אידית, emend. in Tossaf. אורית), [read with ב"ח: הא אמרי איכא וכ׳] but people say, there are witnesses in the West &c. Cmp. אֶסְתָּן.
