CIX, 11 (h. text ינקש); a. fr.—Targ. Prov. VIII, 10 גָבוּ לכון וכ׳ hoard ye unto yourselves knowledge. Ib. XXV, 4 גָּבוּ rake ye out (remove; h. text הגו). Targ. Is. XLVI, 6 גָּבָן וכ׳ they rake together gold (h. text זלים).—Lam. R. to I, 1 רבתי (חד כות׳ 1) ההוא גברא מְגַבֵּב כובין וכ׳ this man (thou) will be a gatherer of thorns and when he brings them, all people will run away from him; [Y. Maas. Sh.
