גִּימוֹן m. (גמם to couple, tie) a little yoke (בר נִירָא), or a board tied to the head of a calf (פִּינַקְסָה), or a pointed pole (שִׁירְתּוּעַ, v. preced. w.). Sabb. V, 4; expl. Y. ib. V, 7ᶜ; Bab. ib. 54ᵇ.—Y. l. c. מאן דמר ג׳ וכ׳ he who reads gimon supports the opinion of R. Ḥisda (פינקסה); he who reads gimol supports the opinions &c.
