גּוּבְתָא f. (cmp. גֵּב) little reservoir, whence tube, channel. Targ. II Esth. I, 3 ג׳ דכוחלא the tube containing the eye-paint; Ber. 18ᵇ גּוּבְתָאִי דכ׳ my tube &c.—Sabb. 90ᵇ רמי ליה בג׳ דנחשא one puts it into a bronze tube. Ib. 146ᵇ ג׳ to insert a tube into the barrel. Ḥull. 58ᵇ ההיא ג׳ וכ׳ a channel was discovered forming the passage from the second stomach &c. Yeb. 75ᵇ ג׳ דשכבת זרע the channel for the effusion of semen.
