Jastrow: דְּבֵילָה

דְּבֵילָה f. (b. h.; דבל, cmp. דבב) a thick viscid mass, cake of pressed figs; fig used for pressing. Pes. 87ᵇ (play on Diblayim, Hos. I, 3) she was sweet in the mouth of all כד׳ like figs; הכל … כד׳ all trod upon her as figs are trodden upon. Gen. R. s. 31 הכניס עמו ד׳ he took the provision with him in a pressed state; רוב מִכְנָסוֹ ד׳ most of his storage was &c. Yoma 76ᵃ; Tosef. Ker.
