הֲנָחָה f. (b. h.; נוּחַ) rest, ease, relief. Gen. R. s. 87, beg. (ref. to Ps. CXXV, 3) אין לו ה׳ וכ׳ finds no ease in the company of &c.—הֲנָחַת רוח peace of mind, appeasement. Y. Dem. VII, beg. 26ᵃ (interch. with נחת רוח). Y. Peah I, 15ᶜ bot.; Y. Kidd. I, 61ᵃ bot. בעושה ה׳ רותו וכ׳ when he gives his father ease of mind (by obeying his wishes).
