הֵיכָא (= הֵי כָּא) where?, (relat.) where. Targ. Jer. III, 2 (ed. Lag. אֵיכָא); a. e.—Targ. Prov. XXVI, 20 Ar. (ed. הֵיכְנָא).—Ber. 2ᵃ תנא ה׳ קאי וכ׳ where does the Tannai (of the Mishnah) stand, that he starts with, ‘From what time’?, i.e. to what law does he refer?—Yeb. 106ᵃ אבוך ה׳ where is thy father?—Snh. 93ᵃ לה׳ אזלו where did they go to (what became of them)? Ib. ודניאל לה׳ אזל where was Daniel at the time?; a. v. fr.—Ḥull. 11ᵇ ה׳ … דלא וכ׳ (not היכי), v. אֶפְשַׁר. Yoma 2ᵇ ה׳ דליכא דדמי ליה where there is nothing resembling it. B.
