הַרְדְּסִיאוֹת, הַרְדְּסִיֹּות, (הַדְרְסִ־) f. pl. , יוני ה׳ a species of domesticated doves (prob. so named from the manner of their fructification, v. הִרְדּוּס). Ḥull. XII, 1; Bets. 25ᵃ; Tosef. ib. I, 10; Tosef. Ḥull. X, 9 הרד׳ ed. Zuck. (Var. הדר׳). Ḥull. 139ᵇ חד תני הדר׳ וחד תני הרד׳ וכ׳ one reads hadr., and one reads hard., the one deriving our w. from Herod, the other from the name of a place.
