הָלַל (b. h.) to be bright, shine. —Pi. הִלֵּל to praise. Pes. X, 5 לְהַלֵּל. Midr. Till. to Ps. CXIII צריכים אתם להַ׳ לו you must give praise to Him. Ib. מנין הַלְלוּ the numerical value of hal’lu (71).
