חֲסִיךְ, חֲסִיכָא c. (חסך II, v. חֲסוֹךְ II and חֲשִׁיךְ II) rubbed off, lessened; (of animals or plants) stunted, lean. Men. 29ᵃ ומי ח׳ כולי האי Ar. (ed. חסר; Rashi to Taan. 11ᵃ: חֲסִיכֵי, pl.) is there so much reduction (loss in weight by smelting)?—Pl. חֲסִיכֵי; fem. חֲסִיכָן, חֲסִיכָתָא. Targ. Gen.
