III, 1, a fr. ח׳ השדרה the spinal chord.—Ḥag. 12ᵇ הקב"ה … ח׳ של חסד the Lord strings around him a chord of grace (protection). Meg. 13ᵃ ח׳ של חסד וכ׳ a chord of (divine) grace was strung &c. Men. 39ᵃ נפסק הח׳ מעיקרו the twining thread of the show-fringes is broken at the top. Ib. ח׳ של כרך the thread used for twining; a. fr.—Y. Sabb.
