כְּבָרָה f. (b. h.; v. כְּבָר II) 1) a large round vessel (cmp. כְּוֶורֶת). Sabb. 35ᵃ כמין כ׳ בים a rock in the sea of the shape (and size) of a K’barah; Tosef. Succ. III, 11 סלע מלא כ׳ a rock of the size &c.; Tanḥ., ed. Bub., B’midb. 2 סלע כמין כ׳ Ms. R. (v. ib. note 21); v. כְּוֶורֶת. —2) basket used as a sieve (v. Sm. Ant. s. v. Vannus). Kel. XV, 4 כ׳ של בעה"ב a household sieve, contrad. to כִּבְרַת גרנות the large sieve of the threshing floor. Tosef. Bets. I, 20, contrad. to נפה.
