מְרַאֲשׁוֹת f. pl. (b. h.; denom. of ראשׁ) head-part of the bed, bolster, pillow. Y. Ber. III, 6ᵈ bot. תולה … (ב)מ׳ המטה he may suspend them from the head-board of the bed, opp. מרגלות. Yoma 78ᵃ מניחה תחת מְרַאֲשׁוֹתָיו put it under his bolster. Sabb. 12ᵇ שכינה למעלה מראשותיו של (= ממ׳) חולה the Divine Presence is above the head-side of the patient; Yalk. Ps. 741.
