סָלַח (b. h.; cmp. סָלַל) [Assyr. to sprinkle,] to forgive. Y. Yoma VIII, end, 45ᶜ ותִסְלַח לי על וכ׳ and forgive me all my sins. Num. R. s. 16, end בשבילך אֶסְלַח להם for thy sake I will pardon them. Tanḥ. Ki Thissa 27 וסָלַחְתִּי כדבריך and I pardoned (Israel) according to thy word; a. fr.
Nif. - סְלַח to be forgiven. Yalk. Ps. 755 ונ׳ לו (Midr. Till. to Ps. XLVIII ומתכפר) and he is forgiven.
