Students should be able to trust that their status, registration, records, grades, progression, completion, and official documents are handled accurately and consistently.
Location
Remote. Work and meetings take place online. No routine travel or in-person attendance is required. Any exception will be stated in the opportunity and agreed before you accept. Please review any location or work-eligibility requirements listed for this particular role.
Role Scope
Own the administrative record from application through completion.
Maintain orderly application records and ensure that applicant status is accurately reflected through the administrative process.
Administer student enrollment and course registration processes according to Berean Institutes' approved procedures.
Maintain accurate records of each student's standing and administrative status throughout the program lifecycle.
Respond to and resolve routine student administrative matters, ensuring requests are handled accurately, consistently, and through the appropriate process.
Maintain the integrity, accuracy, and orderly administration of official student academic records.
Record and maintain approved grades accurately once academic decisions have been made through the appropriate academic process.
Maintain records showing student progression, completion status, and fulfillment of approved program requirements.
Administer and record student withdrawals consistently and maintain the related official records.
Coordinate the accurate issuance and recordkeeping of approved certificates and completion documents.
Maintain controlled administrative information associated with Berean Institutes' approved academic calendar.
Academic Boundary
Administer academic decisions without becoming the academic decision-maker.
The Administrator / Registrar has responsibility for accurate administration and recordkeeping, but scholarly judgment remains with the academic authorities responsible for it.
The Registrar records the academic decision. The Registrar does not independently make the academic decision.
What You Inherit
The underlying technology is already built.
Berean has developed its digital student, course, and administrative systems. This role is not being recruited to design or code the underlying platform.
The work is to test workflows, identify administrative gaps, refine procedures, operationalize the systems, and manage them reliably for actual students.

Berean needs someone who already understands the discipline of student administration.
This role requires substantial relevant professional experience and demonstrated competence managing detailed administrative processes where accuracy, consistency, and record integrity matter.
Required
- Substantial relevant professional administrative experience.
- Demonstrated competence managing detailed records and recurring administrative workflows.
- Strong attention to accuracy, consistency, deadlines, and record integrity.
- Ability to learn and reliably operate within Berean's established digital systems and procedures.

- Higher-education administration experience.
- Registrar or academic-records experience.
- Student-information-system experience.
- Experience administering enrollment, registration, student status, progression, or completion records.
Practical Details
Light formation-stage work, then a substantial academic-administration role.
The workload increases after launch because the role becomes responsible for ongoing student administration and official academic records as real enrollment begins.
- Before launch
- Approximately 15–25 hours per month.
- After launch
- Approximately 15–20 hours per week initially, with workload reassessed as enrollment grows.
- Professional-service benchmark
- $65.58/hour
- Market standard
- Berean currently values eligible professional service at approximately the 70th percentile of comparable national U.S. compensation.
- Actual compensation
- The benchmark represents the professional value of the service performed. Actual compensation is determined through Berean's established nonprofit compensation process based on available uncommitted funds after operating expenses and other obligations have been met.
Early-stage compensation: the professional-service benchmark should not be read as a guaranteed wage or guaranteed payment schedule. Actual compensation remains dependent on Berean's available funding and financial capacity. Before service begins, your agreement records how the role is lawfully engaged and any guaranteed amount or rate. Any payment dependent on available funds is distinguished from a guaranteed payment, and no provision waives legally required wages or other mandatory protections.
Next Step
Express Interest in Administrator / Registrar.
If your experience fits the role, introduce yourself and the administrative work you have managed. Berean's initial submission should include your contact information, résumé or CV, relevant professional experience, and a short statement explaining your interest in the Administrator / Registrar position.
Berean will publicly recruit for this role through December 1, 2026. If you discover the opportunity during that period, you do not need to make a rushed decision: Expressions of Interest remain open through January 1, 2027.
An expression of interest begins a professional conversation. It is not an acceptance of the role or a commitment to serve.
