Build With Berean · Finite Help

Help us finish something that needs to be done before launch.

Not every way of helping Berean requires taking on an ongoing role. Some of the work between here and launch is finite: a specific problem, a defined piece of work, and a clear point at which it is done.

If one of those projects matches something you know how to do, we would appreciate your help.

See What Needs Help

One project means one project.

If you help us once, we will not treat that generosity as permission to keep asking you for more. Complete the project you agreed to, and your commitment is complete. If you ever choose to help Berean again, that decision is yours.

Unpaid volunteer work.

Unpaid volunteer opportunity. You choose whether to participate and may stop volunteering. No wages or future paid position are promised. The assignment describes the work, expected effort, supervision and any approved expense reimbursement before you accept.

Remote.

Remote. Work and meetings take place online. No routine travel or in-person attendance is required. Any exception will be stated in the opportunity and agreed before you accept. Please review any location or work-eligibility requirements listed for this particular role.

How It Works

Know what we need, what we're asking of you, and when you're finished.

Each project is defined before we ask for help so you can decide whether it realistically fits your skills and your time.

01

Find something you can do

See the objective, skill needed, estimated effort, timing, and finished deliverable before offering to help.

02

Tell us you may be able to help

Give us enough information to determine whether the project and your experience are a reasonable fit.

03

Agree on the work

Before you begin, you and Berean confirm the task, deliverable, timing, and support you will receive.

04

Finish it

Complete the agreed deliverable. Berean confirms completion, and your commitment ends there.

Current Projects

Here is what we need help finishing.

We will only list a project here when there is a real piece of work with a defined outcome. A short list is intentional.

I May Be Able to Help

Don't see a long list? That's intentional.

We would rather ask for help with a small number of real, useful, clearly bounded projects than invent volunteer work simply to make this page look busy.

Offer to Help

Think you may be the right person for one of these projects?

Tell us which project interests you and enough about your experience for us to determine whether the fit makes sense.

Reaching out starts a conversation. It does not commit you to do the work.

Berean can accept volunteers only from people who live in Colorado, Nebraska or Texas.

A few sentences are enough. Tell us what makes this project a reasonable fit for you.

Don't See a Fit?

You may still have something Berean needs.

Can you help in a way we did not list?

You may have a useful skill, expertise, professional relationship, introduction, resource, or another contribution we did not know to request.

Looking for something more substantial?

Berean is also recruiting sustained volunteers for executive, governance, scholarly, editorial, administrative, financial, marketing, and fundraising responsibilities.

When the Work Is Done

When the work is finished, so is your commitment.

We'll confirm that the agreed work has been received or completed, thank you for what you contributed, and—when we reasonably can—tell you what your help made possible.

If you ever choose to help Berean again, that decision is yours.
