כְּלוּפְסִין, גְּלוּפְ׳, קְלוּפְ׳, לִבְסִים, לִבְסִין m. pl. (Lesbii; v. גְּלוּסְקָא a. גְּלוּגְדְּקָא)Lesbians, 1) a species of figs. Ned. 50ᵇ (quoting Maasr. II, 8) היה עושה בכ׳ if one is doing hired labor among Lesbian figs; Maasr. l. c. לבסים; Mish. Y. ed. לכסים; Y. ib. II, 50ᵃ כלוסין. Ned. l. c. מאי כ׳ what is K.? Answ. מינא דתאיני וכ׳ a species of figs used for cooking purposes. Ib. 49ᵇ (in Chald. dict.) בלוספיין, read כְּלוּסְפִּיִּין (or … פָּיִין); [Ar. reads בלופסין; Mus. refers to φιβαλέως, a species of early figs.] —2) (cmp. גְּלוּסְקָא) a species of table-olives, opp. זיתי שמן.
