מַלְכוּתָא, מַלְכוּ f. same, kingdom, rulership. Targ. Ob. I, 21. Targ. Jud. IX, 9; a. fr.—B. Kam. 113ᵃ, v. דִּינָא. Ber. 58ᵃ מ׳ דארעא כעין מ׳ דרקיעא royal majesty on earth is similar to that of heaven. Ab. Zar. 10ᵇ חשיבי דמ׳ the notables of the (Roman) empire. Tam. 32ᵃ יסני מלכו וכ׳ let him shun government and governor; ירחם מ׳ וכ׳ let him be a friend of government and ruler and (use his influence to) do good to mankind.
