R. s. 12 שמת מְעוֹנְךָ בעליונים thou hast placed thy residence with the uppermost(angels). Koh. R. to XII, 7 מעוני טהור my residence (in heaven) is pure; a. e. —2) Maʿon, name of one of the heavens. Ḥag. 12ᵇ —3) [that which is looked for,] sustenance, support (v. I Sam. II, 29; 32). Gen. R. s. 68, a. e. הקב"ה מְעוֹנוֹ של עולמו the Lord is the support of his world; cmp. מָקוֹם.—[Ex.
