מוֹרֶךְ m. (b. h. מֹרֶךְ; רָכַךְ) faintness, cowardice. Sifra B’ḥuck. Par. 2, ch. VII (ref. to מֹרֶךְ, Lev. XXVI, 36, without ו) [read:] אינו אומר והבאתי מורך … אלא … מרך וכ׳ it does not read morekh (with ו, which may be derived from ארך and mean hope, v. אֲרַךְ) but morekh (without ו) which means fear, terror, despair &c. (v. מָרַךְ); Yalk. Lev. 675 (corr. acc.).
