נֶחֶמְתָּא f. ch. = h. נֶחָמָה. —Pl. נֶחֱמָתָא, נַחֲמַן. Targ. Y. Gen. I, 21. Targ. Is. XVIII, 4 (ed. Lag. נִיחֲמַן); a. fr.—B. Kam. 38ᵃ מאי אית לי גבי נ׳ דבבלאי what do I care for the consolations of the Babylonians? B. Bath. 14ᵇ וסיפיה נ׳ and ends with consolations. Ib. סמכינן … ונ׳ לנ׳ we join … the consolations at the end of one book to those at the beginning of the next, v. חוּרְבָּנָא.—Y. Snh. X, 28ᵇ bot. וכל טבן ונ׳ וכ׳ and all the good times and consolations (predicted) in the world have come true in my own days.
