נָצִיר m. (b. h. Kethib; נצר) guarded; (homiletically interpreted = יצר) that which is being formed, embryo, premature birth.—Pl. נְצִירִים, constr. נְצִירֵי. Y. Shebi. IV, end, 35ᶜ אפילו נפלים וכ׳ even premature births will have a share in the resurrection, as we read (Is. XLIX, 6) &c.
