פֶּלֶג m. (b. h.; preced.) part, share. Tanḥ. Mishp. 7 (ref. to Prov. XXVIII, 23) כל המוכיח … זוכה לפ׳ של הקב"ה he who reproves his neighbor for the sake of heaven, will be granted a share of divine grace; (Tam. 28ᵃ לחלקו).—Pl. פְּלַגּוֹת. Gitt. 89ᵇ (borrowing the phrase from Jud. V, 16) עדיין לא הגיע לפ׳ ראובן he (that minor, although physically developed beyond his age) has not yet obtained ‘the parts of Reuben’ (mental maturity, and none will consider him an adult).
