εἴσω,ἔσω, used by Ep. , Lyr., and Trag. Poets acc. as a spondee or iambus is required ;ἔσω(asἐςforεἰς) prevailed in Ion. and old Att. Prose ; but in other Prose and in Com.εἴσωwas the only form admitted, whereasἔσωθενwith the Comp. and Sup.
ἐσώτερος, ἐσώτατος, ἐσωτέρω, ἐσωτάτω,seem to have been the only forms in use :—Adv.ofεἰς, ἐς,
