עוֹדֶ֣נּוּ מְדַבֵּ֔ר וְהִנֵּ֧ה יוֹנָתָ֛ן בֶּן־אֶבְיָתָ֥ר הַכֹּהֵ֖ן בָּ֑א וַיֹּ֤אמֶר אֲדֹנִיָּ֨הוּ֙ בֹּ֔א כִּ֣י אִ֥ישׁ חַ֛יִל אַ֖תָּה וְט֥וֹב תְּבַשֵּֽׂר׃
ἔτι αὐτοῦ λαλοῦντος καὶ ἰδοὺ Ιωναθαν υἱὸς Αβιαθαρ τοῦ ἱερέως ἦλθεν καὶ εἶπεν Αδωνιας εἴσελθε ὅτι ἀνὴρ δυνάμεως εἶ σύ καὶ ἀγαθὰ εὐαγγέλισαι
While yet he was speaking, lo! Jonathan son of Abiathar the priest, came in,—and Adonijah said—Come in, for, a worthy man, thou art, and, good tidings, dost thou bring.
While he was yet speaking, behold, Jonathan the son of Abiathar the priest came in: and Adonijah said, Come in, for thou art a mighty man, and thou comest to bring glad tidings.
While he yet spoke, behold, Jonathan the son of Abiathar the priest came; and Adonijah said, “Come in; for you are a worthy man, and bring good news.”
He is yet speaking, and lo, Jonathan son of Abiathar the priest hath come in, and Adonijah saith, `Come in, for a man of valour thou art , and thou bearest good tidings.'
And Jonathan answered and said to Adonijah, Verily our lord king David hath made Solomon king:
And Jonathan answered and said, Verily our lord king David has made Solomon king:
Jonathan answered Adonijah, “Most certainly our lord King David has made Solomon king.
And Jonathan answered and said to Adonijah, Verily our lord king David hath made Solomon king.
And Ionathan answered, and said to Adoniiah, Uerily our lorde king Dauid hath made Solomon king.
And Jonathan answers and says to Adonijah, “Truly our lord King David has caused Solomon to reign,
וַיַּ֨עַן֙ יוֹנָתָ֔ן וַיֹּ֖אמֶר לַאֲדֹנִיָּ֑הוּ אֲבָ֕ל אֲדֹנֵ֥ינוּ הַמֶּֽלֶךְ־דָּוִ֖ד הִמְלִ֥יךְ אֶת־שְׁלֹמֹֽה׃
καὶ ἀπεκρίθη Ιωναθαν καὶ εἶπεν καὶ μάλα ὁ κύριος ἡμῶν ὁ βασιλεὺς Δαυιδ ἐβασίλευσεν τὸν Σαλωμων
But Jonathan responded and said to Adonijah,—Of a truth, our lord, King David, hath made, Solomon, king.
And Jonathan answered and said, Verily our lord King David has made Solomon king:
Jonathan answered Adonijah, “Most certainly our lord King David has made Solomon king.
And Jonathan answereth and saith to Adonijah, `Verily our lord king David hath caused Solomon to reign,
and the king hath sent with him Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and they have caused him to ride upon the king’s mule
and the king has sent with him Sadoc the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Banæas the son of Jodae, and the Cherethite, and the Phelethite, and they have mounted him on the king's mule;
The king has sent with him Zadok the priest, Nathan the prophet, Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and they have caused him to ride on the king’s mule.
And the king hath sent with him Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, and they have caused him to ride upon the king’s mul
