¶ Now three of the thirtie captaines, went downe to the rocke of Dauid, into the caue of Adullam, and the host of the Philistines encamped in the valley of Rephaim.
And three of the thirty heads go down on the rock to David, to the cave of Adullam, and the host of the Philistines is encamping in the Valley of Rephaim,
וַיֵּרְד֡וּ שְֽׁלוֹשָׁה֩ מִן־הַשְּׁלוֹשִׁ֨ים רֹ֤אשׁ עַל־הַצֻּר֙ אֶל־דָּוִ֔יד אֶל־מְעָרַ֖ת עֲדֻלָּ֑ם וּמַחֲנֵ֣ה פְלִשְׁתִּ֔ים חֹנָ֖ה בְּעֵ֥מֶק רְפָאִֽים׃
καὶ κατέβησαν τρεῖς ἐκ τῶν τριάκοντα ἀρχόντων εἰς τὴν πέτραν πρὸς Δαυιδ εἰς τὸ σπήλαιον Οδολλαμ καὶ παρεμβολὴ τῶν ἀλλοφύλων παρεμβεβλήκει ἐν τῇ κοιλάδι τῶν γιγάντων
And three of the thirty chiefs went down upon the rock, unto David, into the cave of Adullam,—a host of Philistines, being encamped in the vale of Rephaim.
And three of the thirty chiefs went down to the rock to David, to the cave of Adullam, and the camp of the Philistines was in the giants’ valley.

וְדָוִ֖יד אָ֣ז בַּמְּצוּדָ֑ה וּנְצִ֣יב פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים אָ֖ז בְּבֵ֥ית לָֽחֶם׃
καὶ Δαυιδ τότε ἐν τῇ περιοχῇ καὶ τὸ σύστεμα τῶν ἀλλοφύλων τότε ἐν Βαιθλεεμ
Now, David, then was in the stronghold,—and, a garrison of Philistines, then was in Bethlehem.
And David was then in the hold, and the garrison of the Philistines was then in Bethlehem.
David was then in the stronghold, and the garrison of the Philistines was in Bethlehem at that time.
and David is then in the fortress, and the station of the Philistines is then in Beth-Lehem,
And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me water to drink of the well of Beth-lehem, which is by the gate!
And David longed, and said, Who will give me water to drink of the well of Bethleem, that is in the gate?
David longed, and said, “Oh, that someone would give me water to drink from the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!”
